Thermomix cookie baking recipes for Kids : Holiday Ideas

Posted by Divine Chef on

Thermomix is great for family bonding. It is very heartwarming to watch the kids make their own cookies or pizza.  During such times, I really appreciate my Thermomix and its ability to bring the kids to play/work together without trying fighting to "kill" each other as they tend to get into fights otherwise with other activities. My Thermomix has its proud permanent space on the kitchen counter. It is indispensable in our daily cooking. The new TM5 makes it very easy for children to use it. The touch display is very intuitive for the smartphone generation. The kids do not even...

How to cook Mee Soto Ayam (Chicken mee soto) from scratch

Posted by Divine Chef on

A Mee Soto Ayam recipe dedicated to Thermomix users as I adapt a regular way of cooking to one that uses Thermomix (I'm guilty of having 2 Thermies) to cook. It is easier than imagined to cook from scratch but requires some pre-planning and coordination due to the ingredients required to finish off the dish to maintain the authenticity of this local hawker favourite. The spices and fresh ingredients will make a difference to the overall taste. This is my most recent challenge by The Family for dinner a few days ago. Posted by Divine Chef on

Asam Pedas or sour and spicy tamarind stew dish. Popular in Indonesia and Malaysia, this gravy can be added onto fish, prawns or chicken and can be a very satisfying one pot dish with just plain rice. Any left-over gravy can be heated up with squid or spread over pan fried fish. Assam "anything" is one of the current favourites within the Thermomix community. Everyone is cooking assam something and even customers having Thermomix cook together sessions are requesting to cook assam. Since I only have chicken in the fridge, I had to cook an all chicken dinner (鸡鸡大餐) tonight. Dinner...

Easy Maple Brioche Toast Using the Thermomix

Posted by Divine Chef on

This is my no fail brioche baking recipe using the Thermomix. Sweet brioche is one of our family's favourite bread. Of French origin, the bread is light, made with butter and eggs and usually with a brown golden crust from the egg wash after proofing and during baking. Our family has a soft spot for maple syrup so I added some along with my egg wash during the bake, giving the brioche a sweet, sticky, shiny golden hue. BriocIngredients (regular commercial loaf size)  15g sugar 150g warm milk 1 tsp dried yeast 1/2 tsp salt 40g butter 325g bread flour 1/2...

Pau made by Hong Kong Flour in the Thermomix

Posted by Divine Chef on

This blog is a record (archive) or my go-to-place for recipes. Otherwise, I will not remember the modifications made as I cook and sometimes get my inspiration. Last night after dinner, I looked at my kitchen and discovered I have a bag of Hong Kong flour which I have forgotten in my cabinet. I have never used the flour since discovering that Hong Kong flour is the most refined and bleached flour). However, I decided to at least try a variation of my usual pau recipe (preservative free and using unbleached flour) to find out what is the hype about using Hong Kong flour to...
