Besides peeling garlic skins off for me, Thermomix is great in many other ways too. I used to hate boiling water then blanching the scum off. Did you know that actually you can just add meat into the mixing bowl and pour in water over the meat and blanch for 15min at 50 degree, reverse, stir speed. Pour out the meat into the simmering basket and rinse under running water to remove remaining scum on the meat. Voila! The meat is ready to cook!
