Homemade noodles using Thermomix
Posted by Divine Chef on
Making my own homemade noodles is surprisingly easier than imagined and the taste is pretty good too. The kids and me had good fun making the noodles and since they had their hands making them, they devoured every morsel. If you have a bunch of kids like me, churning out variety of food for these picky kids is a huge challenge. Thankfully, there are thousands of recipes available for Thermomix and I always manage to tweak recipes to suit the homesters (home-monsters) taste buds.
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 20g olive oil
- 250g All Purpose Flour
- Pinch of salt
- Some water
Directions
- Place 80g of water, egg, olive oil, flour and salt into the mixing bowl and mix for about 30 sec / speed 6 before kneading for 3min
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and let the dough rest for approximately 30 minutes
- Divide the dough into 4 portions and use a rolling pin to flatten into thin sheets
- Dust both sides of the dough and cut the dough into noodle strips
- Cook the noodles in a pot of chicken broth made of homemade chicken stock
- Add some meat or other condiments
- Garnish with some spring onion or coriander and serve hot
- In this photo, I added some kyoto pork chop
- Alternatively, you may use a noodle press to squeeze your noodles over a pot of soup to cook it

Once the noodles float up, they are ready. If unsure, try a strand or two 😉. You can either make the dough (need to be wetter ones) and use the noodle press when you are ready to cook over the boiling soup, or make a dryer dough and cut manually.
To cook the noodles, just throw them into spot of boiling chicken soup stock right? Need to boil noodles for how long roughly before they are cooked? Thanks
